Getting Off The Phone

Some clients are going to want to have a quick conversation and get on your schedule. Some disclose a lot and really want to hang out on the phone a little while. It’s your job to take control and let them off the hook for saying goodbye. Clients often don’t know how the flow goes when making an appointment with the person they’ll be seeing (vs a front desk person). Don’t be afraid to be directive.

“[Client name], I’m so glad we got a chance to talk today. This feels like a good fit so far. I’m really looking forward to our appointment on [day]. Please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have any questions before that time.”
